by lotzac: Marveling over the surrealistic perfection of Tioman Island in Malaysia
When nearing Tioman, one of the tiny islands scattered in the sea outside the Malaca Peninsula, you cannot help but let the grin spread over your face – its beauty is almost surreal. Your eyes have a hard time deciding between resting on the surrounding emerald sea that is begging for your presence, or on the mystical twin peaks that rise straight out of the lush vegetation into the few clouds that have formed in the sky. When finally reaching Salangs sparkling sands, the swaying island rhythm fills your being instantly. Your hammock slumber under the perfect shade of leafy palm trees is only interrupted by the urge to now and then step into the transparent water. Here nothing more than a few lazy strokes is needed to put you straight on top of an enchanting reef, where technicolor fish get so close that they tickle your bare legs.
