Hunting Ghosts at the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado
For a century, the Stanley Hotel has overlooked the town of Estes Park. Built by steam car manufacturer, F.O. Stanley, it's seen is share of celebrity guests, including Theodore Roosevelt and Stephen King. Considered simultaneously one of America's most romantic and most haunted places, the Stanley's elegant accommodations come with a healthy dose of spookiness, with guests reporting ghostly music and apparitions. Paranormal investigators from TV's Ghost Hunters visited in 2006 and pronounced the place "definitely haunted." If you aren't into the paranormal, enjoy gorgeous views of the Rockies while sipping a latte at the outdoor cafe, a massage at the spa or a nap snuggled into a beautiful antique four-poster bed.
