Sunning With Baby Giraffes in San Francisco, California
On a spring day, when the sound of ocean waves floats across Highway One, two baby giraffes munch on leaves. The San Francisco Zoo is a haven for families, first-daters, and animal enthusiasts of all stripes. The giraffes are the first greeters, and if you do not have the money, waltz past the ticket counter, turn right, and there they play—for free. If you do decide to spring for a ticket, take a ride on the carousel, drink lemonade, visit the baby gorilla, feed a goat, and then head across the street to dip your toes in the Pacific.
