#3342 Oddballing and Eyeballing the Weird of Literature in Chicago
No visit to Chicago is complete without a visit to "The Little Neighborhood That Could Gentrify," a.k.a Bucktown, and no visit to Bucktown is complete until one ventures into the pleasant den of the obscure, Quimby's. The exterior is bedecked with the Chris Ware-designed logo and beckons the curious, to come in and get a little weird. Inside the store/cultural experience offers a plethora of the hard-to-find, downright screwy, ribald, hilariously off-color miscellany that's perhaps slipped through the cracks of the Borders and Barnes and Nobles of the world.
