Falling 13,000 Feet From the Sky (and Landing) in Perris, California

Nothing in this world (or rather, above it) is more thrilling than skydiving in the Perris Valley, Lake Elsinore area of Southern California, one of the world's most popular and safe drop zones for aerial thrill seekers. Located 70 miles east of Los Angeles, this playground counts up to 130,000 jumps annually (tandem and single), using aerodynamic "ram-air" rectangular canopies to glide downward into a soft, swoop-landing. Perris Valley Skydiving uses twin-engine, turbine aircraft carrying 22 jumpers up to 13,000 feet in only 20 minutes. When the "Go!" command is given, jumpers free fall for nearly one minute at 120 mph. When the ripcord is pulled and the colorful canopy opens, it's a 5 minute controlled glide of swoops and turns downward to the grassy landing spot below. Talk about taking your breath away!
