The entwined lovers of El Beso (The Kiss by Victor Delfín) dominate the colorful Parque del Amor, a poetry and sculpture garden perched atop the Pacific cliffs of Lima’s Miraflores district. With your sweetheart, meander through the park’s serpentine pathways framed by bright mosaic walls embedded with fanciful butterflies, fish, birds, flowers, and fragments of romantic poetry. Steal a kiss or two at the base of El Beso as the sun settles gently into the ocean. Opened on St. Valentine’s Day in 1993, the Parque del Amor offers a blissful setting for newlyweds to record their first moments together and for other lovers to remember their own.
