#4081 Roosting on Top of the Band in Austin, Texas

Nestled just close enough to 6th Street for ample after-show barhopping, the Mohawk has one of the coolest music-venue seating arrangements around. Naturally, the best seats in the house are on the top level of what I can only describe as a well-constructed treehouse. Not for those who have difficulty focusing, from this level, you can not only spy all those patrons and bands on lower levels, but you can also check out the street brawls and crowds walking to 6th Street—an act which deserves a venue of its own.
