Experiencing the Real Underground in Atlanta's Little Five Points
Eclectic, alternative, and trendy, Little Five Points is a mishmash of Atlanta’s urban subcultures located near Euclid and Moreland Avenues. Not to be confused with Five Points downtown (the home of the over-hyped Underground), L5P’s shops, restaurants, and bars cater to tastes that are a little more left of center. Have a pint and a nosh at the Porter, the area’s popular brew pub. Get lost in Junkman’s Daughter, a giant novelty-slash-vintage-slash-head shop. Search for your soul at Mood’s Music —where owner Darryl can hip you to the latest and greatest in neo soul and acid jazz finds. Check out a live performance at Seven Stages Theater or hear an indie music act at the Variety Playhouse. Or, just find a comfy spot for people watching. Skateboarders, street performers, and tattooed and pierced pedestrians offer plenty to gawk at, day or night.
