Looking for Ghosts in Grafton, Utah

Finding the ghost town requires a good map and a sharp eye. The handwritten sign in Rockville is easy to miss, and after you cross the old metal truss bridge, no large signs point your way to the town of Grafton. Once used as a backdrop in the movie Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, today Grafton is making an effort to preserve historic remnants like its schoolhouse/church, built in 1886. There are plenty of vintage buildings to explore and photograph, all with the towering cliffs of Zion National Park standing in the background. Perfect for photography lovers, a visit to Grafton will yield the best results at sunset, when the sinking sun lights up Zion’s cliffs.
