by kim.foley.mackinnon: Getting Bug-Eyed at Garden in the Woods, Framingham, Massachusetts

For a creepy, crawly role reversal, check out David Rogers’ Big Bugs exhibit at Garden in the Woods. You’ll see how it feels to be as tiny and insignificant as, well, a bug. The biggest of the 13 sculptures is 20 feet long and weighs more than half a ton. They are created from various combinations of whole trees found standing or fallen dead, cut green saplings, dry branches and other forest materials. While you're there, visit the ever-changing living museum—New England’s premier wildflower garden— that features over 1,500 native plant species and cultivars, with many rare and endangered native specimens. Event date: July - October
