Respecting Frank Zappa in Vilnius, Lithuania
There’s nothing quite like a gratuitous statue. Frank Zappa had zero connection with Vilnius or Lithuania, yet, in a quiet corner of town, a moustachioed bust sits proudly on a pedestal bearing his name. Those lucky enough to stumble across this Baltic homage may scour the site for an explanation, but the fact that none is given merely adds to the mystique - obviously sculptures of avant-garde American rockers are standard fare in eastern European cities...
