#302 Running at Bay to Breakers in San Francisco, California

Though it's now a rather organized affair with a couple dozen corporate sponsors, Bay to Breakers still features runners dressed as superheroes, scuba divers, and Mexican banditos. Or maybe just plain naked. It's a 12k race from the bay to the ocean that's been run every year since 1912. It's a lot of fun to run or just watch. There's live music at various spots along the course and at the end is Footstock, a little music festival. Event date: May
