Thought The Big Lebowski was the coolest thing to happen to bowling? Then you haven't been to the Asbury Lanes. A bowling pin’s throw from the Stone Pony (Bruce Springsteen's stomping grounds), Asbury Lanes is a new kind of cultural mecca. Imagine the average bowling alley, but with a cooler bar, better food, and loads of tattooed bowlers. The Lanes offers cheap bowling with retro '50s-meets-Gothic decor. The venue holds regular events, including live bands, art shows, record swaps and the occasional burlesque. This is not your uncle’s bowling alley (though they do have monthly league night).
