Five Themes: Two Grand Prizes for Each Theme

A hotbed of foodie culture, neighborhood flair, summers of love, and a gay community that has flourished like nowhere else... San Francisco is arguably America's most delicious city. Inspired by our sponsor city, this contest is about the places around the world that people inhabit, where local culture flourishes and makes its indelible mark. You can submit one trip per theme and feel free to write about any urban area—except for the final theme, which is restricted to trips about the city of San Francisco.

Details about themes:
Foodie Temples | Love in the City | LGBT Icons | Neighborhood Spots | Only in SF

Round One: Submit Trips (February)

1. SIGN UP for Trazzler and provide a valid email address so we can contact you.
2. Click on WRITE A TRIP and fill out the required fields.
3. Select the contest theme at the bottom of the final trip submission page. You can enter up to five trips (one per theme).
4. On Facebook, fan each of the contest sponsors for news and chances to promote your trip to during Round Two.
5. Get out the vote during Round Two (only trips with at least three votes will be eligible for prizes).

Round Two: Voting (March)

1. People's Choice Grand Prizes
Results: Foodie Temples | Love in the City | LGBT Icons | Neighborhood Spots | Only in SF
The trip in each of five themes that receives the most votes during Round Two will win the People's Choice Grand Prize. A vote is registered when a signed-in user clicks "Save" on your trip page. PLEASE NOTE: Any voting prior to Round Two will not count. Starting on March 1, 2010 at 12:00 am EST, all valid contest entries will appear on the results pages linked above.

2. Editors' Choice Prizes
Results: Foodie Temples | Love in the City | LGBT Icons | Neighborhood Spots | Only in SF

During Round Two, Trazzler's editors will read all of the contest entries and pick the very best in each theme to be eligible for the Editors' Choice prizes. If your trip page has the text "Editors' Choice Semifinalist" on April 1, 2010 2pm EST AND has been saved by three different users during Round Two, then your trip is eligible for the Editors' Choice Grand Prize. On April 1, 2010, every Editors' Choice Semifinalist entry meeting these two criteria will appear on the results pages linked above. Note: While ranking won't play a part in the judging, only entries with at least 3 votes will be eligible for the Editor's Choice prizes.

Winners will be announced on this page and Trazzler | Trazzler blog | Twitter | Facebook.
