About Trazzler Buzz

Trazzler is a website that helps you answer the question, "Where should I go?" by recommending hand-picked trips unique to your location and Travel Personality. The Trazzler Buzz list is created from the volumes of information being transmitted to Twitter every second about 10,000 spots in 50 cities, plus festivals and outdoor destinations all over the world. We rank the list according to a formula that measures volume and recent activity on Twitter. The buzz list is the ultimate source of research on where people are going (or want to go) right now. Trazzler.com goes beyond the buzz and transports you to these places—and makes savvy recommendations based on your preferences—so you can find out where you should go on your next trip.

1. We need you. Trazzler Buzz is a work in progress. In fact, we need your help to make it better.

2. The buzz. If you want to see a place you love rise to the top, find it on the list and click the "tweet" button to submit a micro-review.
3. The list. While we collaborated with several tourism bureaus to develop the list of places, the scope of the project is huge. We need help expanding, refining, tweaking, and translating the list. We believe the best way forward is to open up the data behind the list and work with volunteers from all around the world to maintain it — Wikipedia style. If Trazzler Buzz is successful, we're committed to putting resources towards this open source effort. The fields for each place are limited today, but we envision it growing to include address, geolocation, Twitter rank and more.
4. In the meantime, if you find this project interesting, you can chip in by making an individual entry better, or you can volunteer to edit an entire category (e.g., Attractions in New York City). Or you can just start submitting mini-reviews for the places you know and love using Twitter.
