How Trazzler Arrived
Adam Rugel is a veteran of the online travel industry from back in the glory days of AOL. Biz Stone is a social media entrepreneur who likes to think creatively. During a conversation over soy-lattes in Berkeley, CA, Biz suggested a crazy idea involving "virtual teleportation." It didn't take Adam long to realize Biz was on to something: Online travel should inspire. Today, travel sites give you chores: price grids, check boxes, lengthy and frequently poor writing to suffer through. Trazzler places you emotionally into specific moments and locales all over the planet and helps you explore the limitless travel opportunities our world has to offer.
Trazzler developer Adam Weller builds the technology that makes our little service possible. Don't be fooled by the simplicity of Trazzler—there is some seriously sophisticated science happening on the other side of your screen. There are algorithms meant to learn your Travel Personality based on a number of factors including your location. However, when it comes to choosing trips for the site, we toss the algorithms aside. All of our trips are hand-picked—we don't include poor-quality writing and we don't scrape third-party websites.
If you'd like to suggest a trip, report a bug, or request a feature, we'd love to hear from you.
